About the Islington Archaeology & History Society

The Islington Archaeology & History Society was established in 1975. Its primary objectives are:

Marcus Aurelius CoinTo arrange lectures, visits and courses in relation to the archaeology and history of the London Borough of Islington;

Marcus Aurelius CoinTo publish work on the archaeology and history of the Borough;

Marcus Aurelius Coin To cooperate with local government bodies and other agencies in matters of planning and development within the Borough in order to record and protect Islington's sites which are of archaeological and historical importance;

Marcus Aurelius CoinTo raise funds, if necessary, for the above activities.
