Islington’s “Baby Farms”: their later history

The second of two linked lectures on Criminal Islington

Speaker: Caitlin Davies
Time: 8:00 PM
Venue: Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1

Following on from January’s lecture on the “baby farmers” of the mid-to-late Victorian age, Davies carries the history forward into the Edwardian era. In 1903, Amelia Sach and Annie Walters, were the first baby farmers to be hanged at Holloway Prison. Who were they, what were they accused of, and could they possibly have been innocent?

Caitlin Davies is a freelance journalist, teacher, and author of five books, both fiction and non fiction.
