St Pancras On Time

A Pancrastide Feast of Heraldry, History and Heritage

Speaker: Professor Lester Hillman
Time: 8:00 PM
Venue: Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1

Tonight, on the Octave of St Pancras of Rome and to mark the close of “Pancrastide 2010” join us for a high speed journey to the past.

The Society is taking a look at the neighbouring ancient Parish transformed by St Pancras International.  The presentation by Lester, a previous speaker to the Society, will feature images of the history along with signs of announcement, direction and identity that help to define the area or point to fascinating contradictions. Related aspects from along High Speed 1 ( the Channel Tunnel Rail Link - CTRL), a route which extends through Islington, 109klm to the Channel Tunnel will also feature.
