Autumn Amble 2009

Members are invited to join Islington’s Mayor on this fantastic annual walk.

Last October over 70 people, mostly aged 60 and above, joined the annual Autumn Amble walk. We hope that 2009’s walk will be just as successful! Our walk this year, which will last for approx 1 hour, is themed around the Olympics and sports in general. However the only activity that participants will be asked to engage in is a gentle walk!

Participants are very welcome to arrive early to see the fantastic Olympic exhibition which will be on display at the Islington Museum (exhibition dates 18/09/09 – 30/10/09), or to simply enjoy the permanent exhibits in this lovely museum.  After the walk participants are invited to Finsbury Library for complementary refreshments and some cha cha cha dancing. Everyone is welcome to join the dancing, or to simply sit back and put your feet up! Please note that the walk will last for approx 1 hour – the whole event (including refreshments and dancing) will end at 4.30pm.
