Suzie Thomas is Community Archaeology Support Officer for the Council for British Archaeology, and is responsible for liaising with voluntary archaeological groups around the country. She takes care of the Community Archaeology Forum, conducts research into the nature, activities and needs of the voluntary sector, and acts as an advocate for local societies and community archaeology groups. 

The talk will introduce the Council for British Archaeology, and discuss Suzie's current project, which is funded by the Headley Trust, to carry out research into the nature of community archaeology and the importance of the voluntary sector.
