Christine Coates MA MCLIP started work with the Trades Union Congress in 1967 and became Librarian in 1972. She transferred with the TUC Library Collections to the London Metropolitan University in 1996.
A member of the Archives and Resources Committee of the Society for the Study of Labour History since the 1970s, she was its Chair 1992 – 2008.
