Looking for 14 people to take part in this project

The details:

We are exploring the links between Roman London and London today with young people, curators, archaeologists, historical specialists and our Roman collection itself.

This summer we are running an eight week project where you can gain experience in

 - Excavation at a dig in Burgess Park

 - Interviewing archaeological specialists (e.g. pottery, human remains)

 - Site visits

 - Creative use of sound recording and photography.

The results of this project will be included in an exhibition in 2012

Days will run from 11am -4pm. We will provide lunches and reimburse travel expenses. Workshops will take place at Museum of London, Burgess Park and Mortimer Wheeler House (N1).

The project dates are every Tuesday and Wednesday except for week two which is Monday – Friday)

Museum of London is involved in Stories of the World, one of the major projects at the heart of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The Cultural Olympiad began in 2008, and uses the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to inspire creativity across all forms of culture, especially amongst young people.
